Membership Membership in the FBATS is defined in Article V of the constitution and states:
Section 1: Membership in the FBATS shall be voluntary and open to all military ID cardholders (active duty, retiree, DOD civilian, active duty reservist, active duty national guardsman, and/or their dependents who are in possession of a current military ID card and are 18 years or older).
Section 2: Membership shall be open to all eligible personnel regardless of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, or disability, or creed.
Section 3: Prospective members are encouraged to read the constitution prior to accepting membership in the organization.
Section 4: Eligible persons may apply for membership by filling out and returning to the FBATS a Membership Contract application that is maintained as Membership Contract, Appendix A and is an addendum to the bylaws. There shall be no initiation fee charged to applicants.
Section 5: Memberships shall expire on the last day of January for each year. Members shall be required to submit a new application for renewal.
Section 6: A member shall remain in good standing by following the policies and guidelines set in the Standard Operating Procedure (hereafter referred to as SOP), Appendix B that is maintained as an addendum to the bylaws. Loss of privileges due to abuse of these policies will forfeit membership.
Section 7: No one may consign goods at the FBATS unless they are a member in good standing of the FBATS at the time the goods are submitted for consideration.
